Sarah Cliff x Scottish Refugee Council

Over the past few months Sarah Cliff has been busy collaborating with Glasgow based creative and design agency, Tangent to help create a series of illustrations as part of the new visual identity for the ‘New Scots’ initiative – a refugee integration strategy commissioned by the Scottish Government and managed by the Scottish Refugee Council, COSLA, UNESCO and the University of Glasgow.
The initiative and website outlines Scotland’s strategy for welcoming refugees to the country and documents various funded projects that help to do this.
With a focus on people, fostering a sense of warmth, agency and support within a community, Sarah was the perfect illustrator for the job. Sarah’s rich and carefully considered character and object based illustrations harnessed a fresh colour palette which was implemented across the ‘New Scots’ branding by Tangent. Whilst also putting inclusivity and diversity at the heart of her work.

The site has now gone live and we’re really proud to have been involved in such a valuable project alongside Sarah and Tangent.
