Cardiff based illustrator Sarah Cliff combines unusual perspectives with unexpected colour combinations and a play with proportions to create her work which can be both humorous and at times melancholic. Pastel colours sit next to warm, rich tones and are often emboldened by blocks of black. Intermittent use of acid colours combined with wobbly, curvaceous lines give an almost psychedelic feel to her work. People and still life, from food to synthesizers, form the focus of Sarah’s illustration which have a very human, and at times, emotional quality.
Sarah Cliff has worked with clients including The New York Times, Refinery29, Teen Vogue, Thrillist, Bon Appetit, Pit Magazine and Square Mile Coffee.
