Philip Lindeman x Klarna

Klarna have been adding a small moment of joy to shoppers’ online experience by commissioning illustrators to create loading animations for the two seconds it takes for the online store to connect with the payment platform. Klarna turned to Philip Lindeman to create the next series of looping diversions that will be in place until the end of the year.

Working alongside dream animation partner Bas Mooji Philip created 10 delightful moments, meeting the challenges of working in a format that required files to be very light whilst maintaining interest and creating surprises:

A few times a year, we hand our checkout loaders – the two seconds people see right before payment goes through – to an artist, turning an easy-to-miss moment into something smile-worthy. This time Philip Lindeman, an illustrator whose scenes go delightfully over-the-top yet still feel true to life. He finds a story inside something ordinary.
