Nathalie Lees x Transport for London

Transport for London is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this year. Encompassing tube, rail, buses, trams and more, TfL is responsible for the travel of millions of Londoners every day. Over the 25 yrs of running the network TfL has continually implemented developments to improve the journeys we take, and they have commemorated these improvements by commissioning London based artists to create posters highlighting some of the changes and innovations from the last quarter century.

We were thrilled when Nathalie was commissioned by creative agency VCCP. Briefed to create posterly compositions that continue the lineage of iconic artwork used to promote London transport, it was a job Nathalie relished:
“Having lived in London all my life, I’ve grown up admiring the iconic art produced for TFL. It was a dream to be commissioned for a project celebrating such a brilliant institution along with the other amazing illustrators. To see my work in the same stations and bus stops that have formed a backdrop to so much of my life is a real privilege.”
Nathalie’s problem solving mind and graphic sensibility made her the perfect artist to tackle three of the 25 posters.
The Hopper
Celebrating the Bus Hopper fare, introduced in 2016 it allows passengers one hour of unlimited bus and tram rides, hopping from one to the next.
