Tel Aviv based illustrator Cookie Moon (Sara Laimon) has a varied creative practice ranging from film and music videos, graphic design and branding, to co-founding electronic musical label Unterman. This polymath creative approach extends to her illustration; with a style that was honed in the lockdowns of 2020, the illustrator takes cues from artist David Hockney, combined with references from fashion, literature and instagram, and inspiration from real life experiences and Jewish philosophy. This meeting of the inner world and the physical world is a recurring subject in Sara’s illustrations, working quickly and intuitively, she creates painterly images drenched in atmosphere.
Previous clients include British Airways, Condé Nast Traveler, Departures, The Financial Times, Mano Vino Wines, The New Yorker, The New York Times, RATP Group Paris, Travel & Leisure and the Wall Street Journal.
